Friends

We're having some sweet times with friends as we prepare to leave. Last night I did Swiss Chalet with Jen and Bets - lots of laughs and rehashing of good old memories and even some plans for the future. I'm so thankful for the people the Lord has filled my life with. He's used them to shape me into who I am.......who would I be without the influence of these dear girls in my life? I'd be a different person. Either that, or I'm a "different" person because of them.......;)

Posted by PicasaI have more terrific "friends" pictures on my camera, but I can't seem to get them off right now, so I'll add them later, with more commentary. And I'm looking forward to seeing more folks this week, so this may end up being a l-o-n-g post! Somehow I'll also get us packed up to go, in between times of socializing....

Feeling Contrary

Our house is just not selling. Not yet, anyway. And it's getting tedious to keep it neat and tidy and ready to "show" at a moment's notice. Today I didn't want to. I told Laura that I was gonna empty the bookcase onto the floor, scatter food around the kitchen counter, muss up my hair and sit there, staring, in my old housecoat while the people viewed our home.

Why? I don't know. Because I'm feeling contrary.

But I didn't. We neatened the house and then moved our dinner out to the back deck to eat while the agent and his client walked through. I talked to them pleasantly when they joined us on the deck to ask some questions. I was nice. I was neat.

But inside I had messy hair and was slouched on the couch in my old housecoat. :)
