some good times!!!

First of all, we've celebrated some birthdays around here! Corin turned 4 years old today, and Yvetta turned 1 on Jan. 26th! Both of their births really stand out to me - probably b/c they are the most recent, but they were also my quickest labours and my biggest babies! Both are such a joy here - bring so much laughter and keep us looking to the Lord in thankfulness for such dears.

Then, we had the church folk from Holland C.H. over - along with 2 other couples - one of which was my parents :) What fun! This is a very friendly, enjoyable group to have over. It was officially a "pie social" so blueberry, apple, pecan and pumpkin pie were on the menu. And coffee. Of course. :) Pair that up with good fellowship and you have a winner of an afternoon!

And last night (Sunday) we had the youth group come by. It's always a treat to have them - I wish they'd come over more often! It's such an encouragment to us to experience their energy, their zest for life and their optimism as they look forward to what the Lord has in store for them. They speak with assurance of their place in God's family and they show a real interest in and love for the church - praise the Lord for our dear young people!

They also love a good time - and a good challenge! We played a LONG game of Cahoots - and they stubbornly wouldn't give up, even when we had many of them stumped. But, some of them "got it", leaving the rest GREEN with envy :)

We loved how they threw themselves into the game, keeping us in stitches with their jokes and general craziness :)

What a blessing our church is to us!

Caleb's Camera

We got Caleb a camera for his birthday last year, not quite realizing just what a hit it would be! It's taken a bit of a beating, but boy, he's had so much fun with it! When I got an updated computer a while ago, and finally had enough memory for him to download all his pics onto it, we got a glimpse into Caleb's world........as seen through the lens of his camera. It was very...............interesting :)
