10 Years

10 years ago Rich was ordained as a minister.
10 years ago Rich was installed as pastor of Hope Reformed Church (then known as the OCRC of TO).
10 years ago I became a minister's wife.
10 years ago we became a pastor's family.
10 years ago God called us here and started us on an incredible journey of loving, serving, and ministering to an incredible church family.
10 years ago God poured out His special grace for this work and that wellspring of grace has never run dry.
It's been a very special 10 years :)

The Play

All the pictures here are from Ralph and Sharon's camera - I was backstage and couldn't take pictures and Rich had his hands full of 2-year old mischief - namely, Yvetta :)

I'm so "played-out" that I'm having trouble organizing my thoughts about the evening! Except to say that it was terrific.
That the kids exceeded my greatest hopes.

That the storyline came through powerfully.
That it was fun.

That God is great.

SOS - What pencil sharpener do you use?

Okay, so this may seem rather trivial and hardly worth "SOS"ing about, but I'm getting kinda frustrated here with our dollar store sharpeners. I don't feel like investing in a more expensive sharpener unless someone can assure me it's worth the money.

Being a homeschooling family, sharpeners rate right up there with curriculum, don't you know? We went to OCHECH a few weeks ago and no one said a word about sharpeners!! Can you believe it? All those veteran homeschoolers (I suppose I might be labeled that, too, though my lack of sharpener knowledge might disqualify me.....) and not a word of advice about how to best keep all those pencils sharp. Our home is literally littered with dull pencils! Much stress could be eliminated with just a kind word of timely advice here. Once you guys let me in on your secrets (and I'm hoping you do!) I'm gonna contact OCHEC and offer to speak on this next year. As a key-note speaker, no less ;)

Any advice?

Auntie Shana's bed

Auntie Shana moved recently to a new apartment. As she moved, she got rid of a few things. One of those things was her bed. It was a wooden, knotty pine platform type bed - it just sat on the ground and she put her mattres on it. It's no longer a bed.
Instead, it's now a fort! Thanks, Auntie Shana :) And a big thank-you to Daddy for working your magic around here, once again :)
