Peace of Mind? I think not......
I caught this little rascal slipping under the gate at the back! But don't worry, Rich and Dad A. promptly took the gate off and lowered it. And I went out and bought a leash.
almost there.....
Here are some of the main characters of our moving in story........
Grandma S. - sharing a few minutes of silliness with Corin :)
Grandpa S. - stopping to have a little chat with 'VettaGrandma S. - sharing a few minutes of silliness with Corin :)
Grandpa A. - beautifully shaping the top of our gate - he and Rich finished last night!! Hurray!
And Luke, busy building............something..........with Corin. The kids already have the beginnings of a fort in the "forest" behind our house . I see good times ahead!
And I still have no good pic of Grandma A. - I think it's b/c she was always so busy working in one of the rooms upstairs in the few minutes when I'd take the camera out!

Helpers, big and small
No story about our life would be complete without including the little people who bring so much joy and activity and laughter to our days :) Here are Yvetta and Bethany on a stroller ride while the moms worked hard packing up our old kitchen to bring it to the new. Bethany was quite "tickled" by Yvetta's toes - or, you could say, Yvetta's toes were quite tickled by Bethany :)
Margarita and Sharon - cutting up the potatoes (that Rachel peeled all by herself - good for you, Rachel!) for the Bulgarian meal that Margarita was putting together for us. Delicious!
Corin and Daniel - fast friends and playmates. Before many minutes had passed, they had the hose on and soon both were sopping wet! Good fun for little boys!
And Rodoy made them a threesome - he fit in very nicely and they all had lots of fun - while we got lots of work done!
Thanks for coming, ladies! My new kitchen is almost set up - just a coupla boxes left to unpack!
More work.....
This is the master bedroom - not a great pic, but I wanted to brag about Vera, Sarah and my mom a bit :) They stripped off the stubborn borders in a coupla bedrooms - this one first. My Dad then primed it (it was a very deep, dark, plum colour) and now it's ready for paint.
Jo worked like the dickens on the boy's room, all by her lonesome :( She did all the painting herself, and did a terrific job! My Dad, who has done a ton of work - some hole filling, painting, priming, etc, said Jo was listening to Christmas music. I won't ask.............
Dad A. and Rich have been toiling on this. It may not look like much yet - but just you wait! I've already named our new fence - it is officially dubbed "Peace of Mind". Why? B/c I've already been seen racing down the street, clad in my painting/working grubbies, chasing Corin, who delights in escaping. I love that fence - and the locks that will go on the gates!
And I cannot speak of this new house without mentioning Mom A., who never moves a step without a pail and rag in hand. She's always asking what else she can do and hardly ever sits to just rest. Wow - what a crew!

Lots of help!!
Liz's window - the one she cleaned, that is. I was almost afraid she'd fall right out onto the driveway below, she was that thorough :) As it happened, she dripped wash water onto Rich's head as he worked below................she claims it was an accident..........I don't know ;)
The pic, btw, is of our family room - right above the garage. It'll be a school room, but we also hope it'll be a room for hospitality, as it's very cozy with a gas fireplace, as well as very roomy.
I thought Lis and Louise looked quite cute tucked into our little hallway bathroom as they put their elbow grease into making it spic and span :)The pic, btw, is of our family room - right above the garage. It'll be a school room, but we also hope it'll be a room for hospitality, as it's very cozy with a gas fireplace, as well as very roomy.
Our surprise help was Mrs. B!! So glad she could come, too! They slaved away in my kitchen, making it ready for the many meals that will be prepared there in the future.
And Carole and Rachel, my fellow painters in the livingroom - it looks great, ladies! (though the glare in the picture makes it look kinda blotchy.....it really isn't at all!) I came home with paint in my hair - Rachel was painting above me..............makes me wonder...........she'd probably claim it was an accident.............:)
These ladies were all quick to attribute our lovely new home to God's grace, and we are quick to agree! Nothing in Brampton, in our price range, even came close to this place. So, we know that God gave it to us as a special gift, and we are so thankful for it. May it's walls echo with the sounds of praise for years to come!
THANK YOU, ALL!

I took these top 2 pics while nursing Yvetta on the back deck..............I love it - very peaceful!
We had a picnic on our back deck after church Sunday evening. We also got to meet our new neighbours who are very nice! They happen to know the B's from church - in fact, the man next door, Scott, works with Danny. It's a small world. And a world in which nothing happens by chance or coincidence. I wonder what He has in store for us in this new place? We're excited to find out!
